The liquid-metal Sentinel traps, blinds, and jams. Master Shear walls, Arc Rose flashes, Razorvine zoning, and the weapon-jamming Steel Garden.
By VALMAUK Staff
Vyse is a trap-and-control Sentinel who weaponizes liquid metal. Her hidden traps punish enemies who walk into her web, her Arc Rose adds a flash to a class that normally has none, and her ultimate jams enemy weapons across a huge area. She blends Cypher-style ambush setups with disruptive, fight-altering utility.
| Ability | Key | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Razorvine | C | 150 cr (x2) | Launch a nest that lands invisible; activate to sprawl into a razorvine field that slows and damages. |
| Shear | Q | 200 cr | Place a hidden wall trap; when an enemy crosses, an indestructible wall bursts up behind them for a few seconds. |
| Arc Rose | E | Free (signature) | Place a stealthed flower on a surface; re-use to blind every player looking at it. |
| Steel Garden | X | 8 ult points | Erupt a torrent of metal thorns that jams the primary weapons of enemies caught in the area. |
Keys and costs are correct as of the current patch. Vyse is a relatively recent agent and has already seen tuning, so her charge counts and Steel Garden duration are worth confirming against the live patch notes.
On defense, Vyse sets traps that turn the enemy push against itself. Hide a Shear trap so the bursting wall cuts a pushing team in two and isolates the leader, place Razorvine on the plant spot or a key choke to slow and chip attackers, and keep an Arc Rose tucked away to blind a peek at the perfect moment. Her stealthed utility rewards creative, hard-to-spot placements.
On attack, the Arc Rose flash supports your entry, Razorvine zones defenders off the spike during a post-plant, and Steel Garden is a devastating round-breaker. Pop the ult during a retake or a stacked hold and the jammed defenders cannot fire their primaries, letting your team walk in and trade them down.
"Vyse does not just hold the site, she turns it into a trap the enemy walks into without realizing.
Vyse generally favors maps with multiple chokes and corners where her hidden traps and Arc Rose flashes can be tucked out of sight, with Lotus, Haven, and Sunset often cited. As always, check the live map rotation before committing.
Place the Arc Rose where enemies must look during a fight, not where they are right now. A flash hidden above a common plant spot or behind a door frame catches far more peeks than one stuck out in the open.
Medium to high. Vyse has the deepest gadget kit of any Sentinel, and squeezing value out of her traps and flashes takes real map knowledge and timing.
