The three most self-sufficient carry agents share one weakness - they all snowball off first blood. Here is how to shut each of them down before the round even opens.
By VALMAUK Staff
Jett, Chamber and Reyna are the agents that carry solo-queue games. They share a design: give the player an escape or a reward for winning a fight, and let a good aimer snowball. The upside for you is that they also share a weakness. All three depend on winning that first fight, and all three are far weaker when they are stunned, flashed, or forced to take a duel they did not choose. Counter them by removing the thing their kit is built around - the free peek.
One rule beats all three: never take the fight they want. These agents are built to win the duel they set up. Flash them, stun them, trade them, or make them commit their escape early - then take the fight on your terms.
Jett is dangerous because of the Operator and the dash. She peeks a long angle, takes the shot, and dashes back to safety before you can trade. Take the dash out of the equation and she is just a duelist holding an angle. Stuns and flashes are her hard counter: if she dashes while blind, she dashes into nothing, and if she is stunned she cannot dash at all.
KAY/O
Initiator - suppression removes the dash entirely
CounterChamber plays off two things: his teleport anchor and his ability to hold an aggressive angle with a pistol or Operator, knowing he can teleport out. His counters are utility that either destroys the anchor or catches him before he can teleport. He is also economy-dependent - his best value comes on full buys with the Operator, so hurting his money hurts his round.
Chamber
Sentinel - counter by taking the angle off his anchor
TargetReyna is the purest snowball agent in the game. Every kill gives her a heal or a dismiss, so a Reyna who gets first blood becomes very hard to stop. The counter is simple to say and hard to execute: deny her the first kill. She brings zero team utility, so if you take her opening fight away, she has nothing else to offer the round.
Reyna
Duelist - deny the first kill and the round is yours
TargetThe common thread across all three is flashes and stuns. If you struggle against these agents, picking up a strong flasher yourself changes the matchup - see the best flash agents guide for who blinds best, and the best agent duos guide for how to pair that flash with a trade partner.
