You do not need 6-star maps to earn pp. Here are the easiest, lowest-star maps that still pay out, and how newer players should farm without over-reaching.
By OSUMAUK Staff
A common beginner mistake is thinking pp only comes from hard maps. It does not. Low-star maps with clean rhythm and a little length pay real pp when you FC them with high accuracy, and for a newer player a clean 3.5-star S is worth far more than a choked 5-star B. This guide covers the easiest maps that still farm, and how to earn pp without over-reaching.
Your profile only counts your best weighted plays, and accuracy is a sharp multiplier. On easy maps you can hold 98-99% and full-combo comfortably, which cashes in the accuracy bonus that harder maps deny you. Add a little length and a mod like HD or HR for a free bump, and a map you can pass half-asleep becomes a genuine top play for a low-rank profile.
Rule for new players: farm the highest-accuracy FC you can hold, not the highest star rating you can scrape. A clean 3.8-star FC beats a messy 5-star pass every time your profile is still filling up.

Add HD once a map feels easy - on low-star maps the reading barely changes but the flat pp bonus is free. HR is worth it if the tighter circles do not wreck your accuracy.
As your aim and tapping improve, graduate to the mid-tier farm maps in the main pp farm guide. Until then, clean FCs on maps like these climb you faster than any amount of over-reaching.
