Ranked rewards consistent wins, not flashy plays. Here are the unglamorous mindset and macro habits that move the LP needle.

Most players stuck in the middle of the ladder are not held back by mechanics — they are held back by habits and tilt. The good news is that both are far more fixable than raw skill, and they compound across every game you queue.
Your rank reflects your win rate over a large sample, not your best game. A flashy 15-kill loss moves you backwards; a quiet, disciplined win moves you forward. Before each fight, ask the boring question: does taking this fight help us win the game, or does it just feel good?
Tilt is the single biggest LP leak in solo queue. When you are angry you force fights, flame teammates, and stop tracking the map. Set a hard rule: a two-loss stop, a glass of water, and a walk. The ladder will still be there in twenty minutes, and you will be playing your actual level instead of your tilted level.
"You cannot control your teammates, the matchmaking, or the enemy jungler. You can control your champion pool, your warmup, and whether you keep playing while tilted.
A reliable duo partner with good communication is one of the strongest legitimate win-rate boosts available to a climber — you guarantee two-fifths of the team is on the same page. Duo with someone who keeps a level head, not just someone who is fun to talk to. If your duo tilts you, you are better off solo.
Trends matter more than any single game. If you win 53% over a hundred games, you climb. Optimise the habits that nudge that number, and ignore the coinflips.
