The Best Sensitivity in Overwatch — eDPI, cm/360 & What Pros Use
There’s no magic number, but there is a right range. The eDPI most pros land on by role, why it differs, and exactly how to find yours.

If you’ve ever copied a pro’s sensitivity hoping it’s the secret to their aim — it isn’t. It’s consistency. That said, the numbers cluster tightly enough that you can copy the range with confidence and skip months of guessing.
The number that actually matters: eDPI
eDPI = mouse DPI × in-game sensitivity. It’s the one figure that lets you compare aim speed across players. Most Overwatch pros sit between roughly 3,200 and 4,800 eDPI.
In-game sensitivity alone tells you nothing — 800 DPI × 5 sens (4,000 eDPI) moves the crosshair the same distance whether you split it as 400 × 10 or 1600 × 2.5. The more intuitive cousin is cm/360: the real-world centimetres of mouse travel to spin a full 360°. Lower cm/360 = faster, higher = more controlled.
800 DPI is the standard — change the in-game number, not the DPI
Somewhere between two-thirds and the vast majority of pros run 800 DPI. Keep your DPI at 800 so the sensor stays in its accurate native range, and tune only the in-game sensitivity to land your eDPI. The DPI number itself doesn’t change the feel — only eDPI and cm/360 do.

The pattern is simple: the more your hero relies on pixel-precise clicks, the slower (higher cm/360) you go; the more it relies on movement and awareness, the faster (lower cm/360) you go.
A starting point, and how to dial it in
- Start at 800 DPI × 5 sens = 4,000 eDPI (~31 cm/360). It’s the most-cited neutral baseline. Stay in the 3,200–4,800 band while you learn.
- Three-pass test in the Practice Range: 1) track a moving bot without shooting; 2) shoot only when the crosshair naturally rests on it; 3) add your own strafing.
- If the crosshair shakes or overshoots, lower your sens. If you can’t catch a flanker or you hit the wall before finishing a turn, raise it.
- Make small changes and give each one real playtime. Match the range for your main role — don’t chase a specific pro’s exact number.
Scoped sensitivity (Widow, Ashe, Ana)
“Relative Aim Sensitivity While Zoomed” controls how fast you turn while scoped. The default (~38) keeps a constant cm/360 across zoom levels, so your muscle memory transfers between hipfire and scope — that’s why most pros leave it there. Prefer a 1:1 visual tracking feel through the scope? Push it toward 49–50. Tune in small steps until flick-to-scope feels continuous.
Copy the range, not the number — then leave it alone long enough to build muscle memory.
